Modern Calligraphy: How and Why to Learn Hand Lettering at Home
Meet Jillian & Jordan, calligraphers, teachers, and twin sisters who are dedicated to helping people become the lettering artist they want to be.
They have helped thousands of students just like you transform their calligraphy, and we’re so excited that you’re ready to be one of them.
Calligraphy is all about creating consistent shapes and letterforms. It uses special tools (e.g. pointed pen) to determine the weight of the strokes, and there are some rules to follow.
And in this workshop, Jillian and Jordan will teach you how you can do this at home.
Some of the lessons covered during this free hour-long workshop include:
- What is calligraphy and why learn it in 2020?
- Follow-along: Learn to write your name in calligraphy (with a regular pen!)
- #1 secret that most beginners skip
- Supplies: The only two things you need to get started
- Modern calligraphy from a technical perspective
- The best way to learn brush calligraphy at home
Registration is free.
Date: August, 27th, 2020
Time: 2 p.m. Eastern Time / 11 a.m. Pacific Time
Even if you cannot make it live, by registering with the link below, we'll send out a workshop replay. Hope to see you live!

Loveleigh is pronounced “lovely”. The spelling comes from Jillian’s middle name, which is Leigh. Loops refers to the beautiful loops of calligraphy that appear in letters and flourishes.
Put those together and you get our name: Loveleigh Loops!
